Dublin Boulevard Extension
Dublin Blvd. will be extended from it’s current end point of Lockhart Street out to Fallon Road by a target date of early 2009. The opening of the Dublin Blvd. extension is contingent on the completion of the Fallon Interchange project (which should start in early 2008). This will be boon for the shoppers and retailers at the soon to be built Grafton Station and Grafton Plaza as it will be easier for shoppers to get into and out of the Grafton centers. Additionally, there will be more commuters avoiding the 580 stretch between Tassajara and Fallon Road. With this there will be increased traffic on Dublin Blvd. This is a win for the restaurants and stores, but it will be a challenge for the folks living along Dublin Blvd. This is an opportunity for the proactive staff at Dublin’s City Hall to balance accessibility with livability.
