The City of Dublin has been working extremely hard to bring the vision of a Dublin Downtown district to fruition. The Downtown district will run along Dublin Blvd. between Village Parkway to San Ramon Road. The City currently has a Dublin Downtown survey online to provide residents with an opportunity to provide their feedback on what the Downtown district should look like based on existing architecture, streetscape designs, gateways and public spaces. You’ll notice that most of the pictures seem to be from Santana Row…which would be a huge win for the Tri-Valley. Here’s the link to the survey:

The West Dublin BART station is also under development. The parking structure is nearly completed and t he station will be open in 2009. This will provide visitors and residents w/ an ultra-convenient mode of transportation to the Downtown area. Dublin will also be building a transit village around the West Dublin station. Dublin is a pioneer in the area of building urban villages and the West Dublin village will afford residents the urban experience at an affordable price.

For folks that are in love with their cars, there is another I-680 ramp planned for Dublin when the Westbound 580 to Northbound 680 loop is reconfigured as part of the Interchange Improvements. The loop will be adjacent to the current on-ramp on Village Parkway (next to the Shangri-La restaurant). Funding is still being lined up with the state.
