FIrst you probably need to educate yourself on the subject and terminology. Second, WF has one of the best selection of quality meats. Yes, it's expensive, but I'm ready to pay more for good meats. Third, they have best bakeries that you can find in chain stores. Best cakes, pastries, real bread (european that is) and many other things that you can't find in other stores.

In fact WF sells a lot of real organic produce. That store though at roughly 30K SF will be one of the smaller ones, much smaller than the 50K sf originally planned for Dublin. Too bad we have to continue to drive to San Ramon for Wholefoods and end up shopping at their Target and eating at a nearby restuarant there also. I sure hope that with the turnaround in the economy Whole Foods will change their mind about Dublin and come back. But if all we are building are starter homes, apartments and BMR units it won't support an upscale grocer like Whole Foods.

Fremont is getting its Whole Foods now, it will be located in the building on Mowry Avenue formerly occupied by Barnes and Noble which closed. They only have a few real organic foods for sale at a high price. Huge onions are not organic, they are genetically grown with the first three layers so hard they are unusable. I grew up on a farm and know the difference. Smaller onions are natural. Their peaches at a high price also are genetically altered, tasteless, with a lot of pulp and no juice. These are also GA. Who needs all the junk put in foods these days. No wonder so many people have cancer. Do not buy strawberries grown in Santa Cruz as pesticides are put into the soil. Even workers picking the strawberries became to ill to work. The FDA approves anything as long as they are first lobbied (bribed.) Write to the FDA and see if you ever get an answer.

I am not impressed with the overpriced Whole Foods.
