Dublin Real Estate – 5/16/08 Update
Dublin’s sales volume returned to Earth for the week-ended 5/16/08 with 12 homes sold. The average sale price dipped a bit to $462K. Elan sold another 4 new homes at the East Dublin BART station transit village this past week and there were 8 existing home sales, as well.
It was encouraging to see this Wall Street Journal (please click here) article stating that we’ve seen the trough of the real estate market cycle in the United States (thanks to the Moxley Blog for this link).
What does the analysis in this article mean for Dublin homeowners and prospective home buyers? For homeowners, this article’s analysis means that we very well could have seen the trough of our local cycle over the past few weeks. For home buyers, this article’s analysis means that you can buy a home without having to be concerned about home prices dropping (sort of like an implied guarantee). Of course, this is just one article and home buyers should always conduct exhaustive research before purchasing a home.
