You may have read the news articles mentioning that Alameda County will be reassessing the property tax basis values on all homes (single family, condos, townhomes…pretty much all residential property except for raw land) purchased between July 1, 2004 and December 31, 2007. The Alameda County Assessor’s office confirmed today that notices of the reassessed values will be sent out to homeowners in mid-July. If you feel that the reassessed value on your home is not accurate, you can still submit an appeal after you’ve received the notice.

Please feel free to contact the Alameda County Assessor’s Office at (510) 272-3787 to obtain additional information or visit their website by clicking here.
