Valley Children’s Museum

Valley Children’s Museum is a start-up children’s discovery museum that will be located right here in Dublin and will serve the East Bay region and surrounding communities in Contra Costa, Alameda, and San Joaquin Counties. The museum has been reaching children through school programs and a mobile museum outreach program for grade schools. The vision of building a museum took a giant step forward when the City of Dublin granted the museum 2.5 acres of land at Dublin Crossing (the land across from the East Dublin BART Station currently occupied by Camp Parks).

Valley Children’s Museum aligns itself closely with local educators to offer exhibits that enrich grade level instruction. The museum facility in Dublin will also serve as a center for family-oriented, educational programs, clubs and special events. It will also provide an opportunity for children and families to learn about what makes the Valley a special place to learn and grow. It will reflect the lives of those who visit the facility and be filled with the history and exceptional nature of the region. Kids, their families, schools and the local community will be able to explore the science, art and environment of our unique region through hands-on exhibits and programs.

Bringing the Valley Children’s Museum here to Dublin is just another example of Dublin’s commitment to providing parents with a means to help their children to become life-long learners. A similar example of this commitment is with Camp Galileo – hosted at John Green Elementary in Dublin.
