Here are a few quick updates for everybody:

• Day on the Glen – the Day on the Glen website will be updated on Thursday. However, Around Dublin has confirmed that legendary Santana percussionist Pete Escovedo will be featured on the International Stage on Saturday night (9/20). Attendance is anticipated to be between 18,000 to 20,000. Please be sure to mark your calendars for 9/20 and 9/21.
• Lobster Feed – the Dublin Rotary Club will be hosting its 1st Annual Lobster Feed on October 4th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Dublin Senior Center (7600 Amador Valley Blvd.). Mayor Janet Lockhart will be among the many luminaries of Dublin attending this year’s event. Tickets are $75 per person or $550 per table of 8. • Fireworks in Dublin – the Alameda County Fire Department recently presented a report to the Dublin City Council noting that there have never been any fire incidents caused by “Safe and Sane Fireworks” in Dublin. However, there have been a handful of incidents caused by illegal fireworks. Dublin had 13 “Safe and Sane Fireworks” booths leading up to this year’s 4th of July activities. The proceeds from these booths provided funding for many of Dublin’s non-profit organizations (schools, service clubs, etc.).
