Any increase here though should reduce the same amount elsewhere in town that is away from TOD. Great opportunity for the city to reduce the amount of high density that in the out lying area of town like Sorrento and Wallis Ranch.

This is exactly the place to encourage higher density. With that said, in a perfect world, I'd prefer that the apartments and retail space not be built on the Pleasanton side so that the supply of homes and retail pads could be limited to Dublin. Admittedly, that's a Dublin-centric perspective...but I'm a Dublin-centric guy.

Thx, John Z.

Hi Anonymous – this is a great indication of the demand that Windstar expects to have at the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station transit village. I wonder how this addition will affect Windstar's project in Dublin? What are your thoughts, John?

Looks like Pleasanton City Council agreed to amend its general plan and zoning to allow 350 apartment units and 14,000 square feet of retail space. What did we get in return really by letting Windstar build the additional 90 condos? I hope we will take away 90 condos from other upcoming developments; otherwise, we will be stuck with a net gain of condos.

I understand the West Dublin BART Village is an important project, but I don’t know if the City of Dublin should be this loose with any developer as it has been with Windstar.
