The City of Dublin Planning Department has recently published a fantastic map and brochure that provides an update on all of our fine city’s ongoing projects. This is a tremendously helpful quick reference guide. For example, the brochure advises that the opening for The Green on Park Place is now scheduled for summer 2010 instead of the original spring 2010 opening. Please click on these links to check out the project map and corresponding project brochure.

The ever helpful City of Dublin Planning Department can be reached at 925-833-6610 to answer any questions that you might have.

Why is the city changing the density from 700 units to 900 units in Sorrento East? This is crazy!

I agree that lowering the housing density throughout Dublin is what Citizens want, not higher density to apease developers. Elected officials and Planning Commission are responsible for the Citizens of Dublin, not out of town developers. Housing density should be lowered with the exception of the Transit Villages. We are being packed in like Sardines in Dublin Ranch with no viable public transportation within walking distance. The city should look into given some kind of break to developers of lower density housing to encourage it more. Or change zoning all together for housing density outside of the Transit Villages. Otherwise they will continue to build the max allowed per our current zoning, if I was a builder I would too.

John, I noticed that the city will be discussing the proposed gym tonight. If you go tonight, could you give us the highlights.

Hi Anonymous – I went to the special study session tonight and the highlights will definitely be posted. The Planning Commission spent most of the hour talking about the Club Sport Dublin Blvd. elevation…there were about 4 different preferences that the Planning Commission expressed for how it should look. More details to come…

    Thx, John Z.
