One related note is that there are whispers that the Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees may be interested in using all or part of the former Nielsen Elementary school site to provide at-cost preschool and daycare services for Dublin residents.

Seems odd that we have so much growth and new families and small children in east Dublin over the past 8-10 years and all the child care is on the west side of town. What is there in the east? One or two homes that take in a few children. Seems like an imbalance that the city is planning ANOTHER pre-school in the shafer ranch area the school district which did not generate enough students for an elementart school is planning for another pre-school facility in their closed down school. Should there really be this much imbalance in our city?
