City Council Meeting – 3/3/2009

The Dublin City Council will be meeting on Tuesday night (March 3rd) at 7pm in Council Chambers. Tuesday night’s agenda is fairly light but will include a few notable items.
- Proclamation for Dublin Lt. Glenn Moon (Staff Report not available).
- Staff report letting residents know that AT&T U-Verse subscribers have access to Tri-Valley Community Television on channel 99 (select “City of Dublin – Tri-Valley Community Television” link). This is great for folks that want to watch shows like Slice of Life or live Council meetings from home.
- American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 – Public Works Director Melissa Morton will provide Council with a report noting that Dublin is expecting receive $692K-$865K to rehabilitate two main arteries in Dublin: 1) Dublin Boulevard between Sierra Court and Dublin Court; and 2) Dougherty Road between Scarlett Drive and the Dublin/San Ramon border.

Thanks for the info on Uverse. I am in the process of watching the council live. Nice to see Hart has saved money by bundling. Guess he can buy more donuts with all the money saved. .

does rehabilitation mean the widening and construction of a median and landscaping along those sections of road as in the City’s capital improvement plan call for? Or is it just repaving and filling pot holes?
Completion of the widening of Tassajara between 580 and 1000 feet north or Gleason and from North Dublin Ranch Blvd. to the County Border would be nice too.
Does anyone know of any regional projects on the list? Such as the 580-680 interchange, BART to Livermore, Interchange improvement and beautification along 580 in Dublin/Pleasanton.

is this on top of the parks stimulus fund mentioned in an earlier blog to complete Fallon and Emerald Glen?

Hi Anonymous on March 5, 2009 2:56 PM – yes, the $692K-$865K of funds for street improvements is in addition to the request for funds to complete Fallon Sports Park and Emerald Glen.
Thx, John Z.
