The 2008-2009 Dublin Rotary Community Superstar Award recipients have been announced. The Community Superstar Awards program recognizes three City of Dublin and three Dublin Unified School District employees each year that have provided outstanding service and dedication to the Dublin community.

Recipients of the Dublin Rotary Club Community Superstar Award display the following characteristics:

• Leadership by Example
• Ethics First (embodied by the Rotary Four-Way Test)
• An Openness to New Ideas
• Dedication to Excellence

This year’s award recipients are:

City of Dublin

Darrell Jones – Fire Services
Floyd Gill – Police Services
Gaylene Burkett – Non-Emergency Services

Dublin Unified School District

Shelley Fischer – Administration / Leadership
Veronica Alvarez – Teacher
Brian Fritz – Classified Support Staff

This year’s Community Superstar Award recipients will receive their award during a special presentation on April 21st from 12:15pm-1:30pm at the Dublin Radisson (6680 Regional Street).
