Care to share where your thorough knowledge of that faith comes from? I will make my own determination if I can read the whole Koran one day, until now, I give the billion followers of that faith a chance and try not to build my opinion on the zealots who make the news in the US. After all the hatred raised by the above news, they wont build there and Pleasanton will welcome that center while no one there is apparently complaining or threatening to move out.

I have a problem with ANY – repeat – ANY – religion which preaches hatred of other religions. The Muslim religion does exactly this, therefore, I have a problem with it. People need to wake up and seriously make an effort to study the Muslim faith. Then make your own determination.

Hello All,
I have kept track of this particular blog for a while now. It began as an opinion on an upcoming religious center and it’s impact on noise and traffic. It has now evolved into a festering pit with the widespread political and intense personal intolerance for anyone different from the majority of us.
I do not support a religious center coming anywhere within the Dublin Ranch facility/area with private highly taxed homes and evolving schools. I believe the closest religious facility of any kind, ,that needs to be built/run/etc can come, is at the Hacienda crossings where the commercial and varied population already exists.
We at Dublin Ranch are all one. Our children go to the schools together. We meet up at the parks and take part in our private community events. It is very disheartening and disappointing to see comments that have gone above and beyond basic disagreement in opinion about a proposed contruction project. Is this contruction project still on . Does anyone know for sure. My chldren go to the neighbourhood schools, I don’t see anything building or any town hall meetings set for such a purpose either. Can anyone please find out and paste latest facts.
Don’t target one another. It is the holidays..for all of us. Not just one sect. Please do not post personal hateful/fearful opinions.
Does anyone have suggestions for this empty land -next to Springfields Montessori- that is zoned for specific public usage.
Can we stop any and every religious center from laying it’s roots here. The amount of congestion, noise and the very structure of any religious center is not welcome or suited for this prime land.

Muslim community center (MCC) has sold this peace of land in Dublin, and bought a facility in Pleasanton, a more welcoming community.

Wow. It’s shocking to see how much people in my community hate Islam and Muslims. Islam is a peaceful religion. If one would take a few minutes to try to learn about it instead of allowing the media or crazy fanatics who call themselves “Muslims” represent it, they would see it for the peaceful and beautiful religion that it is. It’s only fault being that it is grossly misunderstood and misinterpreted.
