This is Real right? The last time a post for free a Buffalo Wings Coupon which was to expire April 30th was a fraud. The Buffalo Wild Wings Manager and Hostess said it was a fraud and did not except the coupon printed from the link provided. It was embarrassing as we thought it was legit since it was from this blog site. Anyone else experienced this problem?

    Hi Anonymous May 6, 2009 10:23 AM,
For the record, the Around Dublin Blog never posted any Buffalo Wild Wings coupon. If you wouldn’t mind sharing the link to that fraudulent coupon, both the Around Dublin Blog and Buffalo Wild Wings will appreciate it. Thank you.

Certainly will, I need to search the contents as cannot remember which one I pulled it from. It could have been a reader and not your blog. Regardless it was embarrassing!! Will let you know if I manage to find it.

We went to Extreme Pizza on Monday night and mentioned Around Dublin– We bought a few pizzas to bring home and got our 2 free slices with no problem (a slice is huge)– It was great pizza, their sauce is tangy/spicy instead of just tomatoey.. It was good– I got a cheese pizza for free when we bought a large specialty pizza (the hawaiian was great)–

OK, so I didn’t read the headline (and thought this was just a mention of the free slice thing)– I just came back to Around Dublin to get the phone number for Extreme Pizza and read about this offer—

I was planning on ordering for our office this Friday– I called up Greg, who I had talked to on Monday– He’s bringing us some free pizzas for our office on Friday (Plus a couple extra for our neighboring company, who’ll be excited when they find out–

This is smart business on Extreme Pizza’s end– Seed the market with great pizza for those who’ve never heard of it— Get ‘em hooked and you’ll have more business than any tv or radio ads would’ve ever gotten you— smart—

We did the same, delivery is for this Friday. A crafty way to market and get the word out, will pay off well in the long term.

Not to belabor the point Jimmy, but there was a Yelp post explaining the Buffalo Wild Wings free coupon issue.. excerpt borrowed from that post follows; particularly apropos is the 2nd paragraph:
    ———————————-

A NEW COUPON, good for 6 free wings, will be sent out to the ORIGINALLY INTENDED participants of the Bdubs Bracket Challenge within the next couple of days. According to the Dublin, CA Bdubs Management , Bdubs Corporate apologizes for any inconvenience that some of you may have encountered attempting to redeem their authentic coupons.

Unfortunately, the original coupon has been passed around and posted on numerous websites resulting in a high number of non-intended Guests receiving the coupon. There became no way of controlling this so Bdubs has stopped accepting any of the original or copied coupons.Buffalo Wild Wings Corporate will use a method which will only allow new authentic coupons to be honored and will also prevent this new coupon from being forwarded to others or posted to websites for access by others.

Thank you, Anonymous May 8, 2009 8:20 AM. As confirmed by Mr. Christian Morgan of Buffalo Wild Wings in Dublin, none of the fake coupons came from the Around Dublin Blog. We can also confirm that no one ever posted links to any Buffalo Wild Wings coupon in the comments, so we are not sure how Anonymous May 6, 2009 10:23 AM could claim with absolute certainty the fake coupons came from “this blog site.” The Around Dublin Team would like to thank General Manager Christian Morgan for taking the time to answer all of our questions regarding this unfortunate incident with the fake coupons. We also would like to thank Anonymous May 6, 2009 10:23 AM for bringing this problem to our attention as well as the attention of our readers.

The beauty this Free Office Lunch promotion by Extreme Pizza is that there is no coupon involved. If you qualify for the deal, all you need to do is to pick up the phone. The Around Dublin Team highly recommends that you take this opportunity to experience Extreme Pizza for yourself. We are so blessed to have both Buffalo Wild Wings and Extreme Pizza in Dublin.

Dropped in to grab some dinner tonight. Manager was kind enough to let us double up on the coupons they had and gave us a free drink. So for the price of one large and a sandwich, received two large pizzas, a twister and liter drink. We definitely appreciated that (not to mention the good pizza) and will be stopping by again.

Tried Extreme Pizza and had a few comments.Had the free slice and ate it immediately.Great pizza.Ordered some to take home a few days later and found that if you let the pizza sit around for 45 minutes the crust is not the same as eating it out of the oven.Huge difference. Also the prices are pretty extreme in my opinion.Coupons really needed here.

Wanted to say thanks to Extreme Pizza for bringing over 6 large pizzas for our office lunch last Friday- They brought a variety of pies and our employees really loved the interestingly different ones–

Pizza is great and I’d echo the comments above regarding eating it hot out of the oven– It’s delicious!

Thanks again for a great promotion and here’s to winning us over with great pizza–

    Great Deal.

Pizza – good, but we only had enough for about 15 people.

Customer service / Timing – this would give me pause. The shop called me at 11:38am and told me that my pizza was headed out the door. I went downstairs to wait. And I waited and waited, and 20 minutes later I called them and they said the driver was back already and that they had delivered it to the second floor. I thought, “What?! second floor?!” And rushed upstairs, but it wasn’t there… So I called them back and they said, “You’re the hospital right?” Which I am not. However, I had already sent the meeting invite out for the 12 noon timeframe. I ran back to my desk, re-sent an email and told everyone that they were delayed, and then waited …for the next half hour.

In any case, at 12:40, my 4 large pizzas arrived. In short, thanks for the free pizza, but please get your hospitals and corporate complexes and phone numbers straight.

I am truly embarrassed that we have a business in Dublin who would write a review like the one by Anonymous May 11, 2009 2:21 PM. Let’s hope we never learn who they are.

Let me make something clear. I was disappointed in Extreme Pizza’s service because they made a significant error that wasted time on the part of more than 10 people for a corporate meeting. Additionally, the experience was extremely stressful for the organizer of this lunch meeting.

If I were an admin trying to pull together a lunch meeting, I would not order from them until they sort out such kinks. Why? Because timing is everything. If the meeting participants are expecting lunch in about 10 minutes, and you have everyone gather together, and then you have the lunch arrive 30 minutes late, you end up with many people who have just sat there for a good 20 minutes wasting their time. During this time, they are growing hungrier, irritable, running out of small-talk, etc. In short, not a good situation.

Kate S. Please, step into the shoes of a corporate admin for a day. Hopefully this helps you understand the comment better.

Wow. I have never seen someone that unappreciative of FREE food. I for one, have never heard of any other restaurant doing something like this, so we should really take a step back and say THANK YOU to Extreme Pizza for their generosity to the Dublin community.

Well said, Anonymous May 11, 2009 4:49 PM. I guess business must be really bad at this Dublin company or Pleasanton company with a 94568 zip code, since this ingrate has the luxury of time to write a bad review and monitor the thread for follow-up comments. By this corporate non-performer’s own account, the pizzas arrived at 12:40PM, which is well within the time frame Extreme Pizza promised under the promotion’s terms.

The bums who work at the same company as the ingrate must all be overweight and out-of-shape folks who do nothing but complain. They obviously can’t read very well either.

To the Anonymous whiner office person who had the audacity to complain inspite of receiving free food:

Perhaps you should develop your organizational skills more effectively so that you could better plan your office lunch gatherings to fall within the time frame in which Extreme Pizza said it would deliver.

Granted that Extreme Pizza may have inconvenienced your office by delivering their free food outside your expected delivery time. You still could have written your scathing review in a more sensitive and non-arrogant manner.

Unfortunately for me, I don’t qualify for this generous offer, but I was able take advantage of the one on opening day. For me, Extreme Pizza lived up to all the hype and more. Those free “slices” were more like personal pizzas. Thank you, Extreme Pizza for coming to Dublin and choosing the Tralee as your new home here.

Wow!!!Talk about someone who needs a reality check. Why would anyone with any common sense plan a meeting at a company and not plan for or expect that just maybe, a new pizza place delivering FREE PIZZAS during a grand opening promotion, might be running a little behind schedule????Not only was this arrogant but it also exposed someone with very poor organizational skills.I hope for her sake the boss is not reading the blog!

Hello everybody! My name is Greg, I am the owner of Extreme Pizza. Thanks for all your kind words about our pizza and our promotion.

To the anonymous blogger, I want to apologize for your negative experience. We truly want you to have a great experience with us. We hope you understand that with trying to accomodate the over 25 businesses and corporations scheduled this week alone, our manager simply made a mistake and dialed the wrong phone number and told you your pizza was arriving when in fact it wasnt. It was mistake on her part and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Having said that, that is why we don’t “schedule a time” to compensate for these sort of things happening and on top of that its during our regular lunch rush dining crowd so it can get quite crazy!

All in all, response has been positive and even though it can get crazy and a little hectic, we are all excited to get our pizzas in some neighboring businesses!

To the anonymous poster, please let us try and make it up to you by giving us a call back and getting you a “timed order” on us, so we can leave you happy and with a positive experience at Extreme Pizza.

See you all soon! Stop by and say hi. Maybe we can have an around dublin meet and greet soon? =)

AMEN to that!!! In this tough economic times, what Extreme Pizza did was very very generous!! As a resident of Dublin, I am glad you are here and thank you for the kind gesture. I don’t care if my pizzas arrived at 11 or 1, it was very kind of Extreme Pizza to offer it at all at no cost, it was a nice bonus for our employees, not an expectation. Given the high volume you had to deal with, your restaurant did wonderful!! We got our pizzas for 20 in the time slot you promised, between 11 and 1.
