2009 Dublin Fireworks

by John M. Zukoski  |  Topics:  Parks · Things To Do

The City of Dublin has designated three parks where it will be okay to use “safe and sane” fireworks from 10am to 10pm on the 4th of July. Here are the three parks:

  1. Alamo Creek Park
  2. Dublin Sports Grounds
  3. Emerald Glen Park

Many of Dublin’s non-profit organizations support their community service efforts by selling fireworks each year. Here is a list of the organizations selling fireworks and where their booths are located this year. Fireworks go on sale Sunday June 28th. Please click on the image below for a larger view.

Please note that Dublin does not permit the use of any fireworks in multi-family housing areas or any other City facility, school, or park (other than Alamo Creek, Dublin Sports Grounds, or Emerald Glen).

John, do you know if the stands are already open?

I just came from Safeway at Tassajara and they are not open yet. A good indication on their readiness is the big metal bin/trailer that gets parked next to it that holds the fireworks. This isn't there yet.

I can't say that I'm excited about this new rule. Is it a rule or a law? Will I be cited if a patrol officer happens to see me lighting safe fireworks in front of my house like I have been doing for years now? I know fireworks are dangerous, which is why we take great care in lighting them.

You can still light them off in front of your house. The only parks that can be use are those listed on the blog.
