“Every resident should learn how their city operates and Dublin 101 provides the knowledge and access to key people who make it happen. The best class I’ve had in years.” – Sonal Nuckols

“This is a valuable course to take. It provides history of Dublin and introduces you to the gems of Dublin. All citizens must take advantage of this course and sign-up. My neighbors have already expressed their desire to sign-up for the classes.” – Peter Tran

The Dublin 101 leadership series is a great way to learn about Dublin’s illustrious past, present, and future. Do you want to know more about new projects like Fallon Gateway or The Promenade? Then this is the perfect course for you. Would you like to learn how the City of Dublin pays for all of our parks, police and fire services, public works, and other essential services? Then this is the perfect course for you. Every question you can think of will be answered during this series.

The Dublin 101 series is a tremendous benefit to folks living and/or working in Dublin. Many of our current City of Dublin commissioners, volunteers, and community leaders have participated in the program. In fact, the Dublin 101 series provided the genesis for the Around Dublin Blog in 2007.

Here is an overview of the 2009 Dublin 101 class schedule:

I highly recommend this series particularly if you are interested in taking a more active role in civic affairs and want deeper insight into the trade-off’s of developing public policy. City Staff does a terrific job of informing and immersing you into a ‘day in the life’ at City Hall.

Many of the City Council and most Commissioners have ‘graduated’ from Dublin 101.
    Enjoy, Bill

I agree. The Dublin 101 class is highly beneficial for two reasons. First, it prepares an individual to serve the City on committees, boards, and community groups by knowing what they are talking about. Secondly, with correct information in hand, graduates become ambassadors amd marketers of proper information for the City. I attended the very first class in 2004 and it has served me well.
