I think having the Dublin concert in the City Center creates a stronger distribution of concerts in the area since the Pleasanton concert is not that far of a drive from east Dublin. I also like that the concert at the City Center provides an opportunity for our residents to feel a sense of community and pride by visiting the beautiful new City and Library buildings. Also, I've never been bothered by the traffic noise while attending a concert at the Center. It's really most noticeable when attending a soccer game that is directly next to the freeway. Civic center is in the middle of business center and requires for sure driving and parking. That vs Civic Center where there is not much residential nearby. At Emerald Glen the City may run into oppostion from neighbors effected by the noise. I don't know, just a thought. Dublin, in my opinion, should not view itself as an "east and west". Friday night movies, Day on the Glen, Father's Day Picnic are all park setting events, as, I believe, listening to good music.
