Charter Properties will be hosting a community BBQ on Saturday August 29th from Noon to 2:00 PM at the future site of the new Dublin Club Sport and Promenade. Everybody interested in the Promenade project is invited to attend. Parking will be available across the street in the Grafton Station parking lot (next to Buffalo Wild Wings).

If you plan to attend the BBQ, please RSVP by responding to Jim Tong at Jim@dublinpromenade.com or calling 925-905-5094.

Additionally, please mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 1st at 7:00 PM. That night, the Dublin City Council will hold a hearing to consider re-approving the proposed ClubSport facility at the Promenade. Their sign-off would kick-start construction at the Promenade.

Your attendance at the hearing would serve as a strong reminder to the Council that Dublin Ranch residents have been waiting for the Promenade for too long, and that it’s high time to get it built.

Leading up to the hearing, you can also share your views with members of the Council by sending them a quick email. You can click on this link to let them know what you think.

John – Thanks for the info. My husband and I may attend the City council meeting… can you tell us where it is held? Thanks again for all the updates on these issues!

Thanks for posting this John, I hadn’t heard about the BBQ. I’m glad Charter’s having this – we need that Promenade, and we need people pushing for it, otherwise it’s not going to get done.

Thanks John. Do you know if Toll is the final obstacle to the first building in the Promenade getting approved?

Hi Elizabeth – yes, the Planning Commission already approved the plans for the first phase of the Promenade. However, Toll Brothers appealed their decision to the City Council. The Council will review the appeal during their September 1st meeting.

Construction would have already started at the Promenade if it weren’t for Toll Brothers’ efforts to block progress through creating red tape and filing lawsuits.

      Thx, John Z.

We will definitely be there. I noticed the city workers were cutting the weeds outside the lot yesterday…coincidence, I doubt it!
