Good News on the Promenade?

Charter Properties hosted a fantastic BBQ at the site of the Promenade today from noon to 2pm. Today’s BBQ provided residents throughout Dublin with the opportunity to get more information about the Promenade project and to also sign a petition to show support for the Promenade that will be presented to the City Council at the Tuesday September 1st meeting. Approximately 100 visitors braving the 100-degree heat were greeted by associates and led along a red carpet leading from the entrance to the dining tent.
Here is the good news – it seems that Toll Brothers may be willing to support the Promenade project and withdraw their appeal.

Toll Brothers and Charter Properties are planning to meet on Monday August 31st – the day before the September 1st public hearing – to try and reach an agreement where:
- Toll Brothers would stop litigating against the City of Dublin and Charter Properties; and
- Construction of the Promenade could begin immediately.
Hopefully, a mutually-beneficial agreement can be reached on Monday and the vision of the Promenade can become reality for Dublin’s residents.

I hope everything works out before Tuesday. If they are not able to reach an agreement on Monday, you know that Troll will come out swinging on Tuesday. I hope that we have a overwhelming turnout at the City Council meeting none the less to make sure our voices are heard.

If this Monday meeting does settle the issue, where could we find out such info? Don’t want to show up for the Tuesday city hall meeting if the issue has been resolved.

Hi Amalfi Owner – I’m working to get an update on today’s negotiations. I’ll let everybody know as soon as I hear something.
Thx, John Z.

Thats Great News. Especially for TOLL. It Seems every major Bay Area news station is ON this issue. Apparently the Twits at TOLL Sisters got the news the Twitter and FaceBook WORKS. People are PISSED and All their 20+ (Industry Standard for Complaints) Friends and Family know about it. I was really hoping to stick TOLL with this Horrible News and make light of how poorly they treat their customers, New and Existing. I’ll still be at that meeting (Along with every news company out there, CBS, KRON, Go Micheal Finney!, and of course TWITTER.)
Thanks for Keeping us up on this John. You Rock.

Please feel free to email the Dublin City Council and Mayor to let them know that you support the Promenade project. Here’s their contact info: http://www.ci.dublin.ca.us/DepartmentSub.cfm?PL=gov&SL=maycc

Hi Erika,
Excellent. Thank you for taking the time to voice your support. John actively participates on all the blog and social media forum discussions as himself, so readers should be able to see his profile picture next to his comments. When the rest of the team comment, you should see the Around Dublin logo next to the comments.

Toll Brothers withdrew their appeal. The Promenade is a go. I talked to someone from Charter at the city council meeting and they should start building within 60 days.
