HELPING HAND

The Dublin Rotary Club is often called the “world’s friendliest Rotary Club” and is involved with many local and international projects. Some of Dublin Rotary’s upcoming community projects and fundraisers include:

Free Child Fingerprinting Cards

The Dublin Rotary Club partners with Ilene Misheloff’s parents each year to provide parents with fingerprint cards of their children at the Day on the Glen festival held September 19th and 20th at Emerald Glen Park. Please click here for more information about the Ilene Misheloff case. Please stop by their booth for a quick and easy way to help protect your children.

Macy’s Passport Event to Benefit Local HIV/AIDS organizations

The Dublin Rotary Club will be selling Macy’s Passport coupons at the Stoneridge Mall all day on September 19th to help raise money for local HIV/AIDS organizations. Each $10 coupon provides:

  • $10 off one regular, sale, or clearance priced purchase of $25 or more. Some exclusions apply.
  • 10-20% off other regular, sale, or clearance priced purchases. Some exclusions apply.

2nd Annual Lobster Feed and Silent Auction

The Dublin Rotary Club will be hosting it’s 2nd Annual Lobster Feed and Silent Auction on October 10th from 6-10pm at the Shannon Center in Dublin. Guests will be treated to a multi-course meal with all the lobster that you can possibly eat. Individual tickets cost $75 each or tables of 8 can be purchased for $550. The local Interact Clubs at Valley Christian, Valley High, and Dublin High will be assisting with the event. Proceeds raised at this year’s event will benefit local and international non-profit organizations.

You know, it says right on that myspace site that the person who “owns” the site has no connection to Ilene’s family. Please show some respect and post another link to the story. Ilene’s family has nothing to do with the myspace site as you make it seem.

I don’t find the MySpace page to be disrespectful, but if anyone is interested in a good overview of the Ilene Misheloff case, and how it impacted the Dublin community, check out Diablo’s story published on the 20th anniversary of her disappearance.
