Around Dublin Turns Two

The Around Dublin Blog turns two years old today.
Exactly two years ago we started the Around Dublin Blog to provide readers with an online community to learn about Dublin, share their hopes and aspirations for Dublin, and to have dialogue around the issues that are most important to us all.
Over the past two years, the Around Dublin Blog has had over 47,000 unique visitors – more than the population of Dublin. We’ve also had over 124,000 visits and 256,000 page views in the two year period. We are now the first returned result for the search terms “Around Dublin” and among the top five returned results for the search terms “Dublin blog” on Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other leading search engines.
While readers have commented over 3,400 times in the past two years, more and more community members are now using the Around Dublin fan page on Facebook, the Around Dublin Twitter stream, and the Around Dublin YouTube channel to keep their fingers on the pulse of Dublin.
We have seen many fascinating developments in Dublin this past year including the legal drama with the Promenade, the emergence of plans for the Dublin Muslim Community Center, and the new east Dublin High School (Tassajara Prep). Around Dublin community members shared a myriad of terrific ideas and passionate opinions for these new developments and many others.
Around Dublin also teamed up with:
- Blush Organic Frozen Yogurt for an online photo contest where winners received Blush gift cards, an 8GB iPod Touch, and Giants tickets; and
- Extreme Pizza for their grand opening pizza and t-shirt give-away and free catered lunches for Dublin and Pleasanton businesses.
The Around Dublin Team would like to thank each and every reader for your contributions to this online community. Your comments, suggestions, and readership helped shape our website into what it is today, and we cannot be where we are today without you.

A hearty congratulations (and thanks) to Around Dublin on your second birthday. What a valuable resource you provide to us Dublin residents! I’m constantly amazed at the time & effort you put into keeping everyone informed about what’s going on in Dublin. What you have accomplished is especially impressive considering that you are still just a toddler! You truly deserve the gratitude of the entire city.
Three cheers to Around Dublin!
