Walnut Creek has a nice combination of big name chain stores intertwined with smaller boutique shops. With the outdoor shopping and eateries, it's a very attractive place to visit and shop at. However, in the East Bay, Crate & Barrel only has a presence in Walnut Creek and Berkeley. Notice their store map in the Bay Area, specifically on the peninsula. I realize the peninsula has a greater population density than here and that would warrant more stores in closer proximity. A store in Dublin would serve the tri-valley area, Tracy to the East, areas in Antioch & Brentwood (using Vasco), and maybe as far west as Hayward. I would agree with you regarding the Apple Store.
