“Parental and community involvement is critical to the success of Tassajara Prep,” said Rully Kusuma, president of Dublin Learning Corporation. “From the beginning, we wanted to create a world-class high school that will reflect the goals and priorities of the community as a whole and help our students better prepare for life beyond high school. The first meeting should be very interesting. I will be curious to see which moles from DUSD show up.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make the meeting, but I see across Twitter and Facebook that this meeting was full of information, passion, and sarcasm. However, only the negative comments float up to the internet, and none of the positive ones.
Can more information from the town hall be posted on Around Dublin or on the Tassajara Prep web site? I think DUSD would publish minutes of their public sessions and town halls, so if Tassajara Prep is proposing to be a public school in this district, they should follow in suit for their town halls.
I’m on the fence about Tassajara Prep and DHS – but I would like to hear the information from the meeting and how this charter school will be competitive with DHS. I would LOVE to have a new high school closer to home, but the fundamentals around the academic, athletic, and social growth of any school are key. We need to remember that no information will be impartial. DLC will support the charter school. Others will support DHS and be closed off to the possibilities. I would like to have the information come out anyhow so I could make my own assessment.

Wow….really sad. Tassajara Prep? What a waste of energy, time and money.
Schaefer Ranch has begun construction in the western hills.
Dublin High School is virtually in the geographical center of the CITY OF DUBLIN.
DHS offers everything and more as a comprehensive high school. Alumni include White house speech writers, lawyers, doctors, professional athletes, Major league managers, etc. Just a few of the colleges DHS students have graduated from: Yale, Stanford, U.C Berkeley, Princeton, U. of Maryland, every U. C. in the state of California…just to name a few.
Seriously, you must be kidding!
Also, every high school in the valley has students that travel 15-30 minutes to get to their high school…call and ask them…I have.
