Springfield Montessori Working Weekends to Open by Spring 2010

As the image of the sign notes above, Sprinfield Montessori is planning to open their new Dublin facility in the spring of 2010. Construction crews have been working Saturdays to keep on schedule in anticipation of the grand opening. Somewhat surprisingly, Springfield Montessori hasn’t updated their website to reflect the anticipated grand opening of the Dublin location.
This is a picture taken in mid-December of the future Dublin Springfield Montessori:

As you can see below, the architecture of the Dublin site is beginning to look very similar to Springfield Montessori’s Walnut Creek building:
While the design and orientation of the buildings are similar, the Dublin site will be about 30-40% smaller than the Walnut Creek location in terms of acreage and square footage. The 2.57 acre facility will be located on the corner of Kohnen Way and Brannigan Street (next to Fallon Middle School and the Sonata community) and operated Monday through Friday from 7AM to 6PM each day.

This is fabulous, but I warn everyone that it is extremely cost prohibitive for most families. I called for info, and while they don’t have the pricing out yet for the new Dublin facility, they sent me the Walnut Creek pricing. $800/month for 3 mornings a week (3 hours each morning) for preschool. I’m sorry, I can’t stomach the cost. I assume the Dublin facility would have similar pricing.

Hey, look at the bright side– another preschool in the area means more competition for students which means better pricing–
Having another choice is always a good thing–

I meant to say, more competition to attract students/parents, so better pricing perhaps from other competitors (or at least some openings..)–

Hello All,
I am the project manager for the Springfield Montessori School Dublin campus. The school’s construction is progressing rapidly, and we are on schedule to open in the Spring 2010. Enrollment packages will be sent out to our wait listed parents by the third week in January.
We are excited to bring the Montessori Philosophy and level of education to the Dublin area. Our website will be updated in mid January with specifics and details regarding the new campus, and we also welcome visits to our Walnut Creek facility. Feel free to contact us at 925.944.0626 or reply to this posting with any questions. Thank you.

Springfield Montessori has a wonderful reputation and high tuition costs. I hope when pricing is set for the Dublin Campus the administrators take a close look at local demographics (quite different from Walnut Creek!!) rather than just recouping the high costs of this new construction.

Thank you for sharing your comments and concerns.
Tuition for the Dublin campus will be competitive with other similar schools in the area. For example:
Danville Montessori: $1,375 to $1,445 for 5 full days
Quarry Lane: $1,260 to $1,445 for 5 full days; $885 to $1005 for 3 days; $885 for 5 half days.
Hacienda: $1,180 to $1,475 for 5 full days
Fountainhead: Up to $1,550 for 5 full days
The cost of tuition also reflects the high quality and standard of childhood education that Springfield provides. It is this level of excellence that our reputation is built on.
Dublin was selected as the location for our second campus because the area demographics supported our model.

My son attended Springfield for four years. And I wouldn’t change a thing. The staff is caring, attentive and amazing with kids.
Now that my son is in first grade, I can see what an amazing foundation he received.
Dublin is lucky to have Springfield.

My Eldest child attended Springfield Montessori in Walnut Creek and now my youngest child is at the Dublin campus and I have been very happy with the education that they got.
The new campus in Dublin follows the same dynamics as in Walnut Creek and the staff both seem to love what they are doing. Teaching the children and caring for their well being.
I am very happy with the Dublin Campus and would recommend it to any of my friends looking for a good preschool for their child.

Couldn’t agree more with the above comment. Our daughter started this summer at Springfield Montesorri Dublin in the 2-year old program and we are very happy with it. The teachers and staff are wonderful!

My daughter Jasmine attended Springfield Montessori School in Walnut Creek for two years of preschool 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. I sincerely believe she received the highest quality education regarding academics, self esteem, personal behavior and social interaction with adults and other children. I was fortunate to get to know a few of her teachers, each from diverse backgrounds and each of which offered top quality attention and insight to ALL of the children. They simply had a special knack for reaching the children and developing their interests. My daughter now attends a public school in which she is far ahead of her peers academically and socially. Springfield Montessori School was a major contributor in her development and I am grateful for the opportunity to have sent her there.

My child is currently attending the K-class in Dublin. She absolutely loves it and is learning so much as compared to her old school. The teachers in her class are wonderful and from what i have seen truly reach out to all the children and get them interested in learning. They not only focus on academics, but also self confidence and social interaction. They also offer Music, French and Spanish classes to everyone. I am so glad that we found this wonderful school ! Check it out for yourself.

My 4 year-old son started in June of 2010 in the Dublin campus, with no English backround. The teachers could not be more wonderful:caring, knowledgeable and completely open to communication.
We appreciate all the academic activities with great emphasis on diversity.
Our son amazes us everyday with the things he learns at school.
Also, his English improved so much in only a few months, and he is so proud of that.
At the end of the day, he just does not want to leave the school. We are completely satisfied with the staff and the entire school.
As parents, we also feel very connected to the community through the school, which feels great.
A sincere thank you to Springfield Montessori.
