As one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in the United States, the East Bay SPCA has been concerned with animal welfare for over 135 years. It has been providing shelter, health care, and adoption services for unwanted animals since 1874. The East Bay SPCA is committed to finding homes for adoptable cats and dogs, providing affordable veterinary and spay/neuter services, and educating the public on responsible pet ownership. It serves Alameda and Contra Costa Counties and operates two Adoption and Education Centers, two Spay/Neuter Surgery Centers, and a full-service Veterinary Clinic. The East Bay SPCA’s facility on Gleason Drive in Dublin, CA, houses both an Adoption Center and a Spay/Neuter Center. Many wonderful animals are currently waiting for the right home in the Dublin facility.

andy-the-cat

Andy is an eight-year-old Domestic Short Hair Tabby. Andy may be a senior, but he is more like a grizzled old biker dude with a smile on his face or a spicy old boy who refuses to take any guff. He is not content just to lounge and watch the world pass him by. Andy wants to be side by side with his human in all of life’s journeys. Weighing around 16 pounds, Andy is the size of a small dog and may even lick his human’s hands just like a dog would, but he purrs and sits on laps just as readily and lovingly as the finest of felines. Andy is a proud member of Club Second Chance at the East Bay SPCA. Andy, along with his many other feline friends, can be found at the Dublin Facility.

pit-bull-puppies

Silver, Sable, Reno, Vegas, Casino, and Chip are the cutest, sweetest, rolly-polliest bunch of puppies the East Bay SPCA has seen in a long time. They love to play and promise to grow up into smart and active adult dogs. These puppies are currently in foster care, where they receive daily socialization and handling to help them get off to the best possible start. They will be ready to go to their new homes in mid-March. The East Bay SPCA is looking for dedicated homes with owners who will continue to socialize and train these puppies throughout their first year. Raising a puppy takes a lot of time, energy, and patience, and raising a pit bull puppy to be a breed ambassador is an especially big commitment. The Pit Bull Puppies, along with their many other canine buddies, can be found at the Dublin Facility.

The adoption process at East Bay SPCA is simple and straightforward. The goal is to ensure that each animal finds the right family. Please check the East Bay SPCA website for more details.
