CrimeReports

The City of Dublin, CA, saw a few high-profile arrests in the month of April. The first case involved Donna Marie Tresville, who allegedly spray painted obscenties at the home of a 15-year-old girl living near Dublin High School in March. The 15-year-old girl apparently dated Tresville’s son a few years back. Tresville had also allegedly committed a similar incident near Dublin High School back in November and has been harassing the same teenage girl for the past two years, sending frightening text messages, packages of condoms, and various feminine products to her home.

Parrot Cellular in the Waterford Plaza off of Tassajara Road was robbed on April 13th at 7:20PM just before closing. Dontairius Morton and Tajari Turner were apprehended along with their accomplice Ashley Williams while travelling towards Oakland on westbound I-580. Morton and Turner had robbed the store of $23,000 worth of equipment. Residents have also reported seeing the arrest of two individuals at the old Dublin Toyota location around 6:00PM on April 15th, but that particular arrest is not yet in the Crime Reports database.

The number of crimes reported in Dublin, CA, remained steady in April with 183 incidents compared to 176 incidents for March. About half of the crimes involved theft. Violent crimes remained at 11% of the total for the month. Dublin had three arrests for prostitution during the month of April with one on the 7300 block of Starward Drive, another at the Holiday Inn on Regional Street, and the third at La Quinta Inn on Dublin Boulevard. Presumably prostitution is not what La Quinta Inn has in mind when it asks guests to “Wake up on the bright side.”

West Dublin saw a rash of breaking and entering crimes with 12 incidents reported during April. East Dublin also had a breaking and entering crime reported near Safeway.

The Crime Prevention Unit of Dublin Police Services recommends that residents form Neighborhood Watch programs on their streets. The Crime Prevention Unit also encourages neighbors to look out for one another and report suspicious activities or vehicles. By improving general awareness and developing a sense of community, residents will become less vulnerable to crime. If residents are interested in forming Neighborhood Watch programs, please contact Community Safety Assistants Val Ridad at (925)833-6677, or Laura Correa-Hernandez at (925)833-6686.

Has this blog ever heard of journalistic restraint. If I were this alleged spray painter I’d sue you for saying I did it.

    Dear John,

It’s a shame you did not get the facts correct when you wrote this article. I wish the person involved would sue you, it’s
    considered slander at some level.

You should remove this article, get the facts from the other party then rewrite the article, you would be surprised to know that
everything isnt what it appears to be.

Even you should know there always two sides to the story.

    Respectfully,

    Sharon,

Hi Sharon – I covered the story that was covered by every local newspaper. What’s the other side to the story? Between your threatening comment and a threatening phone call that I received back in May, my curiosity has been piqued as to what “the other side of the story” is. Pray tell.

      Thx, John Z.

Even though she did not make it clear in her obtuse comment, resumably “Sharon Write” is referring to the harassment crime and not the theft crime cited in the article. I just did a Google search and learned that the Contra Costa Times reported on 6/22/10 that Donna Marie Tresville was “sentenced for harassing her son’s ex-girlfriend.” Sounds like it was more than an “alleged” crime. So what was the other side of the story, Sharon? Do you expect John to be clairvoyant?
