New Playground Equipment at Emerald Glen Park

Work on the replacement of one of the playground structures at Emerald Glen Park recently finished. The play equipment is for kids two to five years old and is located near the water play feature in the southeastern corner of the park. This project was approved by Dublin City Council on April 6, 2010, in response to the heavily corroded frame of the previous playground structure, which presented a health risk to the kids and an on-going maintenance issue for the City. The demolition of the old playground began on May 18. The new structure is similar to the one it replaces. The light green of the new structure fits well with forest green of the adjacent playground equipment.
The cost of this equipment replacement is just under $44K, and about 60%, or $25K, of the project was funded by a safety grant distributed by the Association of Bay Area Governments Pooled Liability Assurance Network (ABAG PLAN), which is City’s liability insurance program. That’s not my site, moron. It’s a positive article on Dublin that my wife sent me, and I thought I’d share it here. That’s the LAST time I’ll post anything positive about Dublin here. The increased popularity of this blog has made it go so downhill, thanks to people like you. This blog used to be so cool, and now it’s a breeding ground for complainers and whiners.
