About Dublin Hills Regional Open Space

The 520-acre Dublin Hills Regional Open Space Preserve is located in Alameda County, adjacent to the City of Dublin, and is part of the Calaveras Ridge system that separates East Bay shoreline communities from the San Ramon Valley. At present the park includes a fully developed staging area with space for 23 cars, equestrian parking, restrooms, and a drinking fountain. The preserve has a 1.5-mile portion of the Calaveras Ridge Regional Trail connecting six regional parks from Sunol to Martinez, and a 1.6-mile loop trail. Additional sections of the park and trail connections will be opened in the future. A park highlight is Donlan Point, located in the southern portion of the park and a half mile walk from the parking lot. With an elevation of 1138’ above sea level, Donlan Point is an important regional landmark holding high scenic value among both trail users and neighboring residents. The park is located on Dublin Boulevard east of Schaefer Ranch Road, two miles west of San Ramon Road in Dublin at the Schaefer Ranch housing development. As part of an agreement with the City of Dublin, the developer Discovery Builders constructed the staging area and dedicated 67 acres of open space and trail easements.

After hearing about nothing but stall tactics, etc from Discovery Homes, I’m very happy to hear that the park is all but completed.
