The Blind Side will be showing on Friday August 27th at Emerald Glen Park. According to the Internet Movie Database, the Blind Side is “the story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family.” This inspirational movie is rated PG-13.

The movie showing will be free to the public. Emerald Glen Park is located in east Dublin on the corner of Tassajara Road and Gleason Drive. Families are encouraged to arrive early, so they may participate in various fun and free activities before the movie starts. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and low beach chairs to ensure comfort and optimized viewing during the movie.

Please call the City of Dublin’s Parks and Community Services at (925)556-4500 for additional details about the Family Movies Under the Stars event.

The Family Movies Under the Stars would not have been possible without support from Dublin Ranch Dental, Hacienda Crossings, and Waterford Dental Group. The tremendous generosity shown by these businesses was what saved the popular Family Movie series from the budget cuts made by Dublin City Council earlier in the year. The Around Dublin Blog would like to thank Dublin Ranch Dental, Hacienda Crossings, and Waterford Dental Group for their unwavering commitment to the City of Dublin and its residents.

Yeah, it’s entertaining and I will recommend it, but it’s a little overdone. I mean, they make the guy look like a complete retard who can’t even tie his own shoes. That’s Hollywood I guess…
