City of Dublin Looking to Fill Commission Vacancies

Dublin (CA) City Hall

The City of Dublin is currently seeking applicants to fill vacancies on various commissions and one committee. The Mayor makes all the appointments, and these appointments are subject to confirmation by majority vote of the City Council. The terms will last four years.

Dublin residents interested in serving on one of the following commissions must complete an application form. Forms may be submitted online or downloaded at the City’s website or obtained by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at (925)833-6650. All applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, CA 94568, by end of day Monday, November 29, 2010. Postmarks will not be accepted.

Dublin Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of each month at the Dublin Civic Center. This five-member Commission acts on general planning and zoning related matters and serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council with regard to issues related to the General Plan, Specific Plans, the annual Capital Improvements Program, land use matters, etc. Applications for the Dublin Planning Commission may be submitted both online and by mail.

Dublin Parks & Community Services Commission meets at least once per month at a designated time and place to be fixed and determined by the Commission. This six-member Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the operation and maintenance of an effective and efficient recreation and park system for Dublin residents. Applications for the Dublin Parks & Community Services Commission may be submitted both online and by mail.

Dublin Heritage & Cultural Arts Commission meets at least once per month at a designated time and place to be fixed and determined by the Commission. This seven-member Commission deals with items related to the day-to-day operation and historical preservation of the Dublin Heritage Center and acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on historical, cultural and artistic matters. Applications for the Dublin Heritage & Cultural Arts Commission may be submitted both online and by mail.

Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee meets at least once per month at a designated time and place which shall be fixed and determined by the Advisory Committee. This five-member Committee deals with items related to the day-to-day operation of the Dublin Senior Center, and acts in an advisory capacity to both the Dublin Senior Center and the City Council on issues pertaining to senior citizens. Applications for the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee may be submitted both online and by mail.
