The highest sale price for homes in Dublin was $1,019,000 on East Sugar Hill Terrace. That home sold at $193 a square foot. The lowest sale price for homes in Dublin was $328,000 on Landale Avenue. That home sold at $294 a square foot.
The average days on market for Dublin homes was 50 with an average list price of $628,708 at $276 a square foot. The average sale price was $618,123 at $273 a square foot.

City Planning Manager Jeff Baker recently confirmed that Dublin Hyundai decided not to appeal the Planning Commission’s unanimous vote against the mega LED sign proposal along the I-580 corridor in Dublin, CA. Dublin Hyundai had hoped to install a two-sided, 450-square-foot LED billboard similar in size and design to the LED billboard next to the Oakland Coliseum along I-880 and the digital billboards popular throughout the Sacramento area. The mega-sign proposal drew the ire of many Tri-Valley residents who were upset by the aesthetic, environmental, and city planning implications of the 450-square-foot LED billboard.

East Dublin is growing up fast. Day on the Glen is no more. While facing a projected budget shortfall, Dublin City Council moved to cancel Emerald Glen’s signature event in 2010. Dublin City Council recently confirmed that the City of Dublin will no longer sponsor Day on the Glen due to waning interest in this annual festivity.

Dublin Unified School District (DUSD) recently stepped up its campaign against Tassajara Preparatory High School in an attempt to limit educational opportunities for students in Dublin, CA. Planned to open in the fall of 2012, Tassajara Prep will be Dublin’s second public high school. DUSD’s dishonesty about Tassajara Prep and charter schools in general illustrates its goal of putting the interests of District personnel above the interests of Dublin’s students.

In Pleasanton, CA, rumors have been swirling that the Arkansas-based retail giant Wal*Mart is planning to open a Neighborhood Market at the former Nob Hill location on Santa Rita Road. According to Wal*Mart’s own marketing, the “Neighborhood Markets offer a quick and convenient shopping experience for customers who need groceries, pharmaceuticals, and general merchandise at [Wal*Mart's] famous Every Day Low Prices.” A total of 184 Wal*Mart Neighborhood Markets are currently operating in the US. Each store employs an average of 95 employees.

American Logistics Company (ALC), a national passenger transportation management company, recently announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) to operate the agency’s Wheels Dial-a-Ride ADA Paratransit Service. In selecting ALC, LAVTA will save more than $5 million over the seven year duration of the paratransit services contract.

Surging sales and shrinking inventory reflect just how much the condo market is heating up in Dublin, CA. Many condos are receiving multiple offers. Of the 33 condos that sold in Dublin during March, a third closed at or over the asking price.
Five months of inventory is considered to be a balanced market. Anything less than five months is considered a seller’s market, and more than five months of inventory is considered to be a buyers market. Condo inventory level in Dublin stands at just 2.33 months. A total of 33 units sold last month with only 77 active listings. When the new home inventory is disregarded, the numbers take an astronomical jump. Of the currently listed condos, a total of 29 are new construction and 48 are resale. The inventory of just the resale condo market is 1.45 months.
What are selling? Just about everything is. The low selling price in March was $92,610 for a 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit with 669 square feet. The high selling price in March was $699,000 for a 3-bedroom and 3.5-bath condo with 2,370 square feet. Both of these homes sold at their asking prices.

Tri-Valley Learning Corporation (TVLC) is hosting the Seventh Annual Livermore Valley Charter School (LVCS) Golf Tournament and Dinner at Poppy Ridge on Friday, May 13, 2011. Proceeds from this event will benefit Livermore Valley Charter School, Livermore Valley Charter Preparatory (LVCP), and Tassajara Preparatory High School (TPHS). The cost of each golf tournament ticket is $165 or $660 per foursome for early birds registering by May 1st. The golf tournament will be followed by a banquet dinner. Dinner tickets are $55 per person or $100 per couple.
Registration on the day of the golf tournament will start at 10:30AM with lunch served at noon. There will be a shotgun start at 1PM with the no-host reception starting at 5:30PM and dinner at 6:30PM. Don’t eat too much because dancing starts a bit later at 8:00PM. This is sure to be a tremendously fun event that will benefit local Tri-Valley schools.
