DSRSD Board to Discuss 2012-2013 Operating Budget

The Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) Board of Directors will hold a special meeting to discuss the agency’s proposed operating budgets for fiscal years 2012 and 2013. The meeting will start at 6:00PM in the DSRSD Board Room at 7051 Dublin Boulevard on Tuesday, May 24th.
DSRSD staff will present an overview of the budgets at the meeting to provide an informal workshop setting where Board members can have an extended discussion, ask questions of DSRSD staff, and provide direction to staff if needed to finalize the budgets. The Board is scheduled to formally consider the budgets for adoption at its regular meeting on June 7th. Customers and other members of the community are invited to attend the May 24th meeting. All Board meetings are open to the public, with time reserved for public comments.
The District remains strongly committed to controlling costs throughout the organization. No operating funds will generate deficits during the budget cycle. Current rate structures were used to budget operating revenues. Budgeted operating revenues cover costs sufficiently to meet all policy objectives established by the Board for working capital and reserves. Over the two year period, total budgeted staff positions will decrease by 1.5 full-time equivalents from the fiscal year 2011 budget.
