SnowFlake Wows with Hong-Kong-styled Lunch Specials and Noodles

SnowFlake at the Ulferts Center in Dublin, CA has expanded its menu. Located at the space formerly occupied by Zoie Cafe, SnowFlake now serves lunch from 11:30AM to 3:00PM and Hong-Kong-styled Ramen Noodles (車仔麵) from 2:00PM to 7:00PM everyday. SnowFlake’s lunch specials all come with a bowl of soup and salad. Customers can choose up to three items with each order of the Hong-Kong-styled Ramen Noodles. Additional items are $1.00 each.

Customers can also pay $1.00 more and get a refreshing beverage to go with their meals. SnowFlake’s beverage selection includes coffee, Hong-Kong-styled milk tea, and the lightly sweetened coffee with tea (鴛鴦). All three beverages can be served iced or hot.

As the latest dessert establishment to open at this East Bay Asian shopping plaza, SnowFlake specializes in snowflake shaved ice (雪花冰). Made using real ingredients mixed with condensed milk, snowflake shaved ice has a fineness and lightness that sets it apart from the traditional shaved ice. “People already know us as the snowflake shaved ice place, but we have always intended to be more than just a dessert destination,” said co-owner Janice Kou. “We just launched our lunch specials and the Hong-Kong-styled Instant Noodles the first week of May. The customer response so far has been overwhelmingly positive.”

In addition to the new lunch specials and the Hong-Kong-styled Ramen Noodles, SnowFlake has added to its savory crepe offerings as well. The way SnowFlake packs in the meat and veggies, each savory crepe is really a complete meal in and of itself. SnowFlake also has a small collection of specialty desserts including green tea tiramisu, chestnut creme brulee, and the one-of-a-kind black sesame tofu cheesecake. Co-owner Jeff makes these specialty desserts fresh every day.

To celebrate the launch of its new lunch special menu and the introduction of the Hong-Kong-styled Ramen Noodles, Snowflake is giving customers one free snowflake dish with any purchase over $20 for the entire month of May. Co-owners Jeff and Janice Kou will also be debuting the new Green Tea snowflake on Tuesday, May 10th. “We finally got our shipment of green tea from Japan, and we can’t wait to share the green tea snowflake with our customers,” said Janice.
