Bay Area Breeze Host WPSL Pacific Division Playoffs This Weekend at Dublin High

The Bay Area Breeze of the Women’s Premiere Soccer League (WPSL) will host the 2011 Pacific Division Playoffs this weekend at Dublin High School in Dublin, CA. The winner of the Playoffs this weekend will play for the 2011 WPSL National Championship in Chicago, IL.

Joining the Breeze in the playoffs are the Orange County Waves, San Diego Sea Lions and North Bay FC Wave (Marin). Games start Saturday at 4:00PM. The winners of Saturday’s matches will play for the Pacific Division title at 5:00PM on Sunday.

The WPSL is national pro-am league with over 60 teams and remains the largest women’s soccer league in the world. The league was formed in 1998 and is sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) as an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). The WPSL’s mission is to provide the highest level of soccer in an effort to bring affordable and quality family entertainment to the community and to display positive role models for our youth, while being a stepping stone for aspiring professional & international-level players.

    Brian Clark presented a proposal Tuesday to the Dublin City Council that could bring an independent minor league baseball team and stadium to the city.
