The Tri-Valley, California Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is a sales and marketing organization dedicated to promoting the five-city region that includes Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, Danville, and San Ramon in San Francisco’s East Bay. The agency recently announced ticket availability for its 16th Annual Partnership Meeting & Luncheon, taking place Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. Travel & tourism expert, and Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at Smith Travel Research, Inc (STR), Vail R. Brown will be the luncheon keynote speaker.

Brown’s presentation takes a look at the state of the travel industry in California, the Bay Area, and specifically, the Tri-Valley. She will feature trends and recap recent industry changes.

With a successful career in destination marketing, Brown’s experience includes positions as the Director of Membership Development for the Tennessee Hotel & Lodging Association (now Tennessee Hospitality Association) and Greater Nashville Hotel & Lodging Association. In her current role at STR, Brown is charged with the overall coordination, the functional management and leadership of the sales and marketing strategies and activities for the STR Family of Companies – STR, STR Global, STR Analytics, HotelNewsNow.com, and RRC Associates and the Hotel Data Conferences.

Blaschka will also speak at the luncheon, where she will highlight specifics of the CVB’s 2010-11 Fiscal Year Annual Report. She will also detail the organization’s Three Year Strategic Plan and provide highlights of this year’s initiatives.
