While the history of Dublin, CA dates back to 1772, the City did not incorporate until February 1982.  In honor of the City’s 30 years, as well as the “All-America City” recognition, Dublin City Hall will be putting together a series of celebrations throughout the year.

Come join in on all of the fun at Dublin’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, which will take place on the 17th and the 18th of March this year.   During the parade, Mayor Sbranti and Dublin City Councilmembers will be riding in a star-spangled float, representing Dublin’s “All-America City” status.  The City will also have a special “30th Year” float carrying some of the dignitaries who have represented Dublin over the course of the last thirty years.

On Saturday, July 21st, City Hall will be putting on a special event at the Heritage Park and Museums from 11:00AM to 3:00PM.  In addition to providing a feast of All-American foods, such as hot dogs, apple pie, ice cream, kettle corn, and root beer, Dublin City Hall will provide activities such as sack races, a watermelon-eating contest, and water balloon tosses. Other kid-friendly activities like face painting, crafts, inflatables, and wagon and tractor rides will also be available. The Summer celebration will also feature a variety of music, with performances by a folk musician, a military band, and a local blues band.  Dignitaries from Dublin’s past will also be on hand to share fond recollections from Dublin’s history. A recently discovered piece of Dublin’s past will be unveiled at this special event.
