Possibility of Henry Cavill returning as Superman for Man of Steel 2

Many sources have stated a possibility that DC Comics, Warner Brothers, and the producer of Justice League, Charles Roven are looking to develop the sequel to the fan-favorite Superman movie, Man of Steel. According to the same sources, the studio is also looking to bring back Henry Cavill as Superman, as his role in Man of Steel was heavily praised by fans across the globe. The development of the film is almost confirmed by the sources and it is being said that the studio is now in the search of a writer for finishing the script. Many insiders have confirmed that the Warner Bros. Discovery, CEO David Zaslav, and Warner Bros. Pictures heads Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, are looking to bring back Superman, as they want Henry Cavill to reprise his role as the most iconic Superhero in the world. It is almost confirmed that Henry Cavill will be returning as Superman in this upcoming sequel to the Man of Steel.  Man of Steel was the first film from the DC extended universe, the project of adopting DC comics into a movieverse. The movie was released back in 2013 and included Henry Cavill as Superman. The movie was directed by Zack Snyder who is known as one of the best directors when it comes to comic book adaptations due to his work on the movie based on the Watchmen comics. The movie also had its story written by one of the most iconic directors, Christopher Nolan who directed the Batman trilogy for DC during 2005-2012.  Upon its release, Man of Steel was heavily criticized by movie critics on the grounds of being too dark and unpleasant for the wider audience. This was solidified with the success of the Marvel cinematic universe, which was much lighter and more focused. But along with this criticism, Henry Cavill’s role as Superman was heavily praised by fans. Many fans praised Snyder’s vision of Superman in a modern world. This can be seen in the movie’s rating on RottenTomatoes. On RottenTomatoes, the movie has a 56% rating from movie critics and a 75% rating from fans. But with the failure of the Justice League released in 2017, Warner Brothers hit the final nail on the DC extended universe. It was later revealed that the director of Zack Snyder had a different version of Justice League planned for the release, which was changed by the Studio and Guest Director, Joss Whedon. This led to the fans asking WB Studios to release Snyder’s version of Justice League, which was again, heavily praised by the fans.  All these events have now led to the development of the sequel to Man of Steel. Henry Cavill's return as Superman for the Man of Steel 2 can also be confirmed by Cavill returning as Superman in Black Adam, which is releasing this week. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the actor who has played the role of Black Adam also stated the expectation of seeing Black Adam vs Superman on the silver screen.
